At Maine Aim Ranch “Redefining the limits” is our motto

This takes total devotion to our Maine breed, which means breeding cattle that we can put our total trust in.  We feel that if they are working for us, then they will work for you.  This fast paced world keeps a person on the move all the time, and to take the time to study and stride to redefine the limits is what we believe makes this breed continue getting better and better.

Daughter of Avalanche

1999 won Get of Sire Avalanche CWA
2000 Get of Sire Avalanche CWA
2001 Get of Sire 2nd Avalanche

This is the most remarkable herd sire I have ever raised and used.  His consistencies is like no other, it does matter what type of cow you breed him to he always takes a step up.  I have used him on heifers, he calves easy and the calves get up and start to grow.  I have showed many of these calves off first calf heifers and won many shows with them.  The commercial man loves bulls sired by him, they are easy to work with and make great steers and tremendous females.

  • 1997 Avalanche was a finalist in the Breeders Cup and second in class at CWA.  That Year he was a member of 11 head that we (K+K Ranching) entered at CWA, and which found 9 of them in the Championship class.

  • 1998 Avalanche stood second in class to Hall’s Legacy Plus

  • 1999 Avalanche’s first calf crop hit the ground, and along with that brought many Champions.

  • 1999-2000 he won Get of Sire at CWA and in 2001 he was second with Grand Champion % Female and Res. Champion Bull Calf in this group.  If you go to my show result page you will see how remarkable his offspring have done in the show ring and take notice of who is on the halter in most cases.

To HOT to hold on to, Avalanche has just recently been sold and is on his way back up to Canada. Hillcrestview Farms owned by Kandee Lucas Hagerman at Napanee Ontario.  Heritage Farm, Carlos and Patrick Wolfe in Covington, Ohio recently owned him.  Currently we own all semen rights.

T.K.O. is the out of the best female we have ever raised, this is only her second calf.  Her first calf sold in HCC Customer Appreciation.  Through the past years I have been studying pedigrees and compositions that I believe will be the most beneficial to the Maine breed. I think we have come up with some very useful and interesting answers.  T.K.O. is one of the most exciting bull calves we have raised.  Along with his outstanding pedigree, this herd sire is loaded with tons of eye appeal, depth of rib, stoutness of bone, and thickness right through. This bull has a magnitude of potential beyond belief. We have been overly impressed with the quality of calves out of this bull. He sired our top-selling Maine heifer calf in 2004, and we are not getting hardly any white at all out of him!!
